Description
If you are from an accountancy background and are looking for a change in direction with greater earning potential, but still using all the skills you have acquired over the years, you may want to consider this position.

We are a small, busy, friendly computer company based in Portishead, specialising in the supply of integrated Accounts, Stock Control and Order Processing systems to a nationwide customer base.  We are currently looking for someone to join our client-facing software support team, as we are in the process of upgrading our loyal user-base with a new Datafile windows-based software system and require a business software support person to assist in the task

You should be from an accountancy background to allow you to understand client requirements, and will be working as part of a close knit team, with the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the company.

Part of the role will be working on the company’s busy helpdesk where you will assist with providing business application support to customers. You will be required to deal with a range of people from Finance Directors to Stock Controllers and will be responsible for investigating support queries, updating customers and providing general assistance to our users. There will also be opportunities for some on-site work, if desired, assisting in the implementation and training in the use of our software.

To succeed in this position you should possess: 

• a good understanding of accounting skills and accounting packages
• an understanding of IT and MS Windows
• excellent verbal communication skills
• the inquiring nature necessary for analysing and resolving user queries
• a friendly, sociable and outgoing nature
• a knowledge of stock control and order processing principles would be an advantage 

This position would suit a candidate with AAT qualifications who is looking to move into a more IT focused role, with full training in our software being provided.
