Email Security Services for business
Region: South, South West, Wales
Salary: £25,000 + bonus +commission (£33,000 ++++)
(The region covered extends as far east as Portsmouth and Southampton, up and across to Gloucester, the whole of the South West region and Wales)
Background
My Client is an innovative producer of email security services for business. The company has recently developed a new product and are therefore looking to recruit a Business Development Executive/Sales Executive professional operating in the field to assist in forging new and existing key relationships throughout the UK.
The role will involve introducing the company to target customers, largely SME-sized professional services organisations as well as selling the product into new areas.
The role is primarily new business development and you will be expected to generate your own appointments from existing warm leads.
You will be required to present the product in detail, as well as creating sales through persuasion and confidence.
You will be a natural solution seller considered and methodical in your approach. You will be able to instantly build rapport and be comfortable with being challenged.
Experience within a business to business sales environment is essential, exposure to professional service environments (people not procurement) being preferred.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual.
The business is based in Hertfordshire although the role is mainly field based with the need to spend a day a week in the office or as required.
Role outline:

Sell subscription based email encryption service primarily to SME-sized professional services organisation.
·
Identify own leads from warm introductions
·
Present the product to a detail beyond the USP’s and factual information
·
Ambassador for the Company and the service
·
Create sales through persuasion and confidence
Essential Skills –

absolute bare minimum skills
required
·
Natural and intuitive presenter with gravitas and approachability/personability
·
Problem solver – must be completely comfortable with information technology (terminology, environments, language and culture)
·
Relationship builder – understands difference between a one off sale and a long term customer
·
Considered and methodical approach - able to generate confidence in others
·
Comfortable being challenged beyond the FAQ’s
·
Not pushed into rash decisions and answers on the hoof - unflappable
·
Understands how to counter objections and create successful sales
Experience
·
Exposure to professional service environments ideal – people not procurement
·
Experience within a B2B environment essential
·
Trained in sales/business development role + 3 years solid post-training experience
·
Used to operating in an environment with intelligent/reluctant decision makers
·
Graduate level calibre
Personal characteristics
·
Energy and enthusiasm
·
Attractive, instantly likeable on first meeting
·
Open manner with a desire to integrate, and develop as the business evolves
·
Intuitive approach to business environments – situational management, NLP etc
Profile
·
Not a first sales job but 3 years + work experience
·
Currently a business development/sales exec and looking for their own show
Salary
·
Basic starting salary: £25,000
·
Uncapped
commission scheme. Flat bonus of £2,500 for achieving your first 50 paying subscribers, with further bonuses of £1,000 each time for every 50 paying subscribers achieved thereafter –
uncapped
. Payable to you via payroll in the month after receipt of subscription fees from your customers.

Fully expensed company car, fuel**, insurance, tax, and serviced [or car allowance worth approx £400 per month gross, and therefore taxable].
· ** Please note HMRC rules are very strict on personal mileage: “
if you have been provided with a company car and fuel you are required to make good the cost of all fuel provided for private use. An ordinary commuting journey counts as private use. This is so even if you are obliged to take the car home”
·
Portable computer and mobile telecommunications.
·
Holidays: 25 days holiday plus public holidays.
